Care instructions for your pewter bracelet
You may have just ordered home one of our fine pewter bracelets as a gift or for yourself, congratulations! Our tin bracelets are well made, locally in Norrbotten with vegetable tanned reindeer skin and high quality tin wire.
How do you best take care of your pewter bracelet?
Each pewter bracelet has a limited lifespan that varies depending on many factors, such as how often you use it and the type of wear and tear it is exposed to. Usually a pewter bracelet lasts 1-3 years, sometimes even longer.
We recommend the following to get the longest possible life out of your pewter bracelet:
- Take off your pewter bracelet before showering, exercising or bathing.
- Avoid exposing the bracelet to salt water and chlorine water, as these are extra harmful.
These points are to reduce wear and tear on your pewter bracelet. Soap, shampoo and sweat are things that affect both the leather and the tin wire negatively and shorten the life of the bracelet. Even hair products such as hair spray can also cause the tin wire to become discolored.
The cleaning itself then? A pewter bracelet normally only becomes more beautiful over time and usually does not need to be cleaned. If you still want to - do this:
- Mix a very small drop of detergent, soap or mild hand soap in water in a bowl.
- Dip a clean cloth into the water and wring it out thoroughly.
- Carefully dry the leather on the pewter bracelet with the cloth, ATTENTION not on the pewter wire itself! The leather should not get wet.
– If necessary, dry the pewter bracelet with a dry, clean cloth.
We hope you will enjoy your pewter bracelet, whether it accompanies you every day or just on extra festive occasions. You can wear your pewter bracelet with pride as the beautiful piece of craftsmanship that it is.
