Wooden mugs in different models, all made of Masurian birch, a must-have in your backpack when you head out into the great outdoors! Coffee tastes extra good outdoors drunk from a solid wooden mug. (Tea or hot chocolate are just as good, of course). There are also mugs for the little ones, perfect gifts for birthdays or baptisms.
The word as such can be a little different depending on who you ask. Common variants are, for example, kosa, in Lule Sámi the word gukse is used and in Northern Sámi it is called guksi. Dear child has many names!
Clean only with lukewarm water, they can be ruined by being washed with detergent or in a machine. All our mugs are made in Tornedalen from masur birch.
Take care of your hut well, and it will faithfully follow you on many trips. The cheeses are dipped after production in paraffin oil, which is completely harmless but can give a slightly salty taste the first time you drink. To counteract this, the first time you use the cup, you can fill it with hot water or coffee and let it stand for five minutes and then pour it out.
The manufacturer recommends that you avoid lubricating the box with cooking oil or linseed oil, as this can cause it to turn rancid and taste bad. If your cup starts to get very dry and gives off a woody taste in your mouth, you can dip it in paraffin oil again to lubricate the cup.
