The earring is named after the Pearl River. There are many stories about the pearl fishing that occurred in the Pärlälven until the river pearl mussel was declared protected. The river flows through a fantastically beautiful natural area, Pärlälvsdalen, which offers both recreation and inspiration.
Pärlälven's fjällurskog belongs to one of our last pathless primeval forests. Here there are miles of virgin forests to discover, peaks to climb and views to marvel at. Between primeval forests, mountains and marshlands, lakes, streams and small ponds invite you to both fishing and paddling.
