Sami Crafts and Sami Art
Description
Craft worker who lives and works in Ålloluokta near the Great Luleå Lake (Stora Lulevattnet). She is currently studying at the Arctic Arts School.
How did you become a craft worker?
As a child I did weaving and embroidery with áhkku, my paternal grandmother. I started painting with watercolors at secondary school. After that, everything remained dormant until five years ago when I began the wood and horn course at the Sami Education Center in Jokkmokk.
Where do you find your inspiration?
From the Sami lifestyle and legends, as well as from nature.
